Serenity Recovery

Serenity Recovery Centers offers hope to men, women and their families negatively affected by the devastating consequences of addiction. Individuals with drug and alcohol problems are not the only casualties of addiction. Their families, friends and communities also suffer greatly. Executive Director, Allen Richardson attributes the success of Serenity Recovery Centers to his staff. Under his leadership, patients have received holistic treatment; healing of the mind, body and spirit.

Serenity Recovery Centers began as “Serenity House” in 1971, when a group of recovering alcoholics founded a safe haven for alcoholics seeking treatment. In the 40 years since its inception, Serenity has never wavered in that initial commitment to offer counseling, education and advocacy for individuals and families who are struggling with addiction.

Without proper treatment, the prognosis is poor for those suffering from alcoholism and drug addiction: the body deteriorates, the mind is damaged and the spirit crushed. Identification and treatment of the disease are critical to the process of mending the damage wrought by addiction. Serenity Recovery meets rigorous state standards and plays a vital role in the public health response required to address this nationwide epidemic.
