George "Machine Gun" Kelly and his "titian-tressed" wife, Kathryn, were apprehended in Memphis because of information provided to federal authorities by a 12-year-old girl. The arrest of the notorious murderer and kidnapper was big news, The CA trumpeting Kelly’s $100,000 bond in a headline that stretched across the top of the newspaper, alongside his photo from police headquarters.
