IS IT REALLY TRUE?

News of the armistice is greeted with joy — but cautious joy — by Marines recovering from Korean War wounds in a ward at the Naval Hospital at Millington. "I’m glad but is it really true this time?" was the question repeated by almost all of them. They remembered days and nights of crouching in the Korean hills when there were other hopes for a peace — hopes that were not fulfilled.
